step 2

Chase Your Dreams

Have a dream. No matter how ridiculous it sounds when you say it out loud. It is important to have a dream. Think of what you really, really want to be, to do in life.

Even if it is the seemingly most unattainable dream, dream about it.

I'm sure the fear of wanting to dream might be making some of us uncomfortable, frankly it makes me a little jittery too as I write this post.

"To be big, dream big."

I can totally understand why it is not easy to dream big. We get stuck in trying to identify our limits before we start dreaming. Everyone does that. Including me.

When I was working in a regular corporate job, I had my first thought of how I wanted to dance. And I stopped myself . Just so many times.

"What will people think?"

"I would have wasted my entire engineering education"

"What if I end up failing and have to get back here and take a job?"

I was then told by someone very wise, who happens to be my advisor in all my life's decisions that the scenario of "What If" can happen anytime. What if I get hit by a bus right about now? What if the earth comes to an end? One does not stop living only because of the fear of What If, right?

I want to dream more. I dream even now. But honestly even I get scared of dreaming very big at times. Lets stop feeling so scared of writing down our dreams. Saying it out loud. Once you say it, it is out of your system. Nothing can change that dream of yours. And then thats it. Once you have dreamed, let things happen. You will work towards it because you have dreamed about it.

Write your dream down. Now. You need to. It is important. Everything else can wait.
